About us
The Rora Project UK is an inspiring not-for-profit community group proudly rooted in Stamford, Lincolnshire. Our mission is to empower our community — specifically parent carers — with essential resources and unwavering support on their remarkable journey.
We are committed to enhancing the community support already in place, working hand in hand rather than replacing it. We wholeheartedly embrace inclusion and diversity, recognising the challenges that come with being a parent carer.
We provide a nurturing environment at our inclusive community garden, TRPCG (funded by Co-op UK 2025/26 and the Harry Skells Trust 2026), where you can truly be yourself while enjoying our themed, affordable half-term workshops as well as regular craft clubs.
Meet the team
Our volunteers are the heart of The Rora Project UK. Each one brings compassion, lived experience and a genuine desire to support parent carers.
Chantelle
Founder / Trustee
A SEN mum of four and neurodivergent herself, diagnosed with a disability (degenerative disc disease) in 2023. Chantelle created The Rora Project from personal understanding of the emotional challenges parent carers face, and raises awareness of caring while living with a debilitating condition.
Caroline
Lead Family Support Worker / Trustee
Joined in June 2025. Caroline is fully qualified to support families with a wide range of needs — practical resources, signposting to helpful services, or emotional support — making sure families get the right help at the right time.

Financial Lead / Accountant
A truly inspiring woman and mum who works tirelessly behind the scenes. You may not always see her, but she keeps The Rora Project running smoothly and sustainably.

Workshop Coordinator & Forest School Facilitator
New for 2026. Sue has over 20 years' experience in mainstream schools, is a SEND parent herself and is level 3 forest school qualified. She joins us at TRPCG with exciting workshops for little explorers.

Mabel
Mini dachshund therapy dog in training
Our smallest (but mightiest) team member. Mabel is a mini dachshund currently training as a therapy dog, learning to bring calm, comfort and plenty of cuddles to families visiting TRPCG.
Many of our volunteers have their own lived experience of caring for children with additional needs, while others are deeply committed to making a difference in their community. Together we create a community of connection, empathy and strength — making sure every parent carer knows they matter.
DBS & safety
Safeguarding comes first. Our team are DBS checked, and our founder is Level 3 paediatric first aid trained.

- Level 3 paediatric first aid trained — FAA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF), achieved 26 September 2026, valid for three years
Chantelle Evans's Ofqual-regulated FAA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF), delivered and assessed in line with current Resuscitation Council UK guidelines — so trained first aid cover is always on hand at our garden sessions and workshops.

Volunteer Florist
- The Rora Project Community Garden (TRPCG), Stamford
- At least 1 visit per week
- Volunteer role — unpaid
We're looking for a passionate florist, horticulture enthusiast or someone with strong flower and plant knowledge to join our volunteer team and help TRPCG become a pollinator-friendly garden for our community.
What you'll do
- Advise our gardeners on which flowers and plants to grow, and when and where to plant them
- Choose plants that support bees, butterflies and other pollinators, and develop pollinator-friendly areas
- Plan seasonal planting and expand the variety of flowers and plants throughout the garden
- Share your knowledge, ideas and gardening tips with our volunteers
- Deliver accessible community workshops on flowers, planting, gardening and pollinators
- Help launch and develop our new Gardener Club for families and volunteers
- Encourage children and families to get involved with growing and caring for plants
Who we're looking for
No formal qualifications needed — just knowledge, enthusiasm and a genuine love of flowers, gardening and nature. You might be a qualified or experienced florist, a keen gardener with specialist flower knowledge, someone with horticulture or pollinator-planting experience, or simply an enthusiast who loves sharing what they know and enjoys working with children, families and communities.
Volunteer Social Media & Digital Content Manager

- Minimum of 2 social media posts per week + monthly website update
- Volunteer role — unpaid
We're looking for a creative, social-media-savvy volunteer to help grow the online presence of TRPuk — capturing, sharing and celebrating our community garden, workshops, fundraising, wildlife projects and the families we support, so more people can discover what we do.
What you'll do
- Create and publish a minimum of 2 social media posts per week on Facebook and Instagram
- Take photographs and create engaging Reels and short-form videos of our work, volunteers and community garden
- Promote upcoming events, workshops and fundraising activities
- Update the TRPuk website at least once per month, keeping events, workshops, volunteer opportunities and news current
- Suggest new content ideas and ways to reach new audiences, and help grow our following and engagement
- Work with the TRPuk team to make sure our content reflects our values and mission
Who we're looking for
Someone who loves social media and creating content, is confident taking photos and videos, and is happy making basic website updates. You'll be creative, organised and able to work independently — and passionate about community projects, SEND inclusion, nature or volunteering. Previous social media or website experience is beneficial but not essential; creativity and enthusiasm matter more.
